Diamond, Opal, Pearl, Coral

For the Different-Art Precious Stones contest. I used the bottom row of fav.me/d9ezifc as reference. I know Diamond and Opal have been done frequently. I also know my designs aren't as obviously drag n drop heavy as some of the others but I had to do this contest my way. I like subtly, patterns that blend in, silhouettes that look like they belong. 

Diamond, I really wanted to make diamond a stereotypical beauty. I was also inspired by the fashions of the sliver screen an icon of glamour much like diamonds themselves. I feel like the diamond being such a popular and famous jewel would be a bit of a snob. 
Opal, many people have done opal. In my version I drew inspiration for various types of opal. I tried to give her hair that shimmer and multicolored sparkle that white opals have. Her dress has a vintage feel. I used the black opal as reference and tried to capture that same multicolored sparkle and shimmer that opals have. 
Pearl, for pearl I drew inspiration from the oyster itself. Plain on the outside but inside bright and vibrant. Occasionally there is treasure within. I tired to give the doll a bit of mystic, hinting at what lies within. 
Coral, I brought a bit of sea life into her design. I feel like she would have a rather bubbly and scatter brained personality. I tried to replicate the wave like lines you see in actually coral beads and stones. I also went with a bit of a vintage feel. I imagine her trying but not quite fitting in with the other stones like Diamonds and Rubies.
